What a fabulous weekend, Zena. It sounds like it is just up my alley.
You would of loved it Nanna Chel. You are such a simple living workshop addict:) You have great affordable workshops up your way; I love reading about them on your blog.
This looks like so much fun!!! Very nice.
It was so much fun, Grace. It was so good to see what's happening in the slow crafting world in real life.
Sounds like a brilliant retreat. Love the look of the dress.
Everyone altered the dress slightly to suit their body shape and give an individual look. I shortened my sleeves from below the elbows to above and lengthened the skirt.
It sounds amazing! I'm so envious!
I was so lucky to of been there and to have a wonderful friend to go with.
what a special time! so glad for you!
Thank you Elizabeth. It really was special for so many reasons; one of them because it was the first time I was away from the family in eight years.
Gorgeous Zena. That sounds like a pretty damn special weekend. Nurtured, supported, social, creative....all good, good stuff. Makes me want to go out and get my craft on, it's been a long long time.
My next "scene" is to do some Milkwood Permaculture workshops. We really are all about food and gardening first; the survival stuff. The key is to have little project bags and pick one up when you have a moment but it's a bit hard if you have a camera in your hand:)
Oh WOW what an incredible weekend! It sounds just about all sorts of perfect, no wonder you had so much fun!
Thanks Carie! I hope I can make it there next year.
I loved reading this!!!! You made me laugh with your description of your pins in the Beattie dress... I would have been one to overload the pins too. Your dress turned out so well - Beattie is absolutely spot on with her "let it flow" technique. It really was the b.e.s.t. weekend. So much goodness to be had and so many ace new friends too :) Thank you for the shout-out and a HUGE belated happy 40th too xoxo
Thanks for the birthday wishes! It really was the best weekend in so many ways. xx
This is really interesting and it's nice to see all the stages; from the pot of natural materials to the yarn and fabric samples. Sounds like a great weekend :)
It really was a great weekend. I hope to get back there next year to do a quilting and knitting class.
